All the world's a stage

The show cannot go on with only the major parts of the glamorous stars strutting their stuff. They need supporting actors/actresses, and some extra's and a backstage crew, lighting team, costume design and the fall guys too.

And everyone has a different personality/role to play

Sandown fall - Callow taken to hospital

Sandown fall - Callow taken to hospital
Brad Waters Wednesday, 23 September 2009

Melbourne jockey Noel Callow’s comeback to the saddle has been halted after being taken to hospital following a fall at Sandown.

Callow was sitting handy to the speed aboard Golden Portrait in the Primavera Handicap (1600m) before the filly stumbled and fell passing the 900 metres.

Almost the entire field passed over Callow as he tried to curl into a ball to protect himself from further injury.

The jockey lay on the track for almost 15 minutes as he was being treated by ambulance officers.

Steward Taylor Wilson said Callow was conscious as he joked about the incident with track staff and ambulance officers who rushed to his aid following the incident.

“Noel is wide awake, he’s actually in good spirits,” she said. “He’s been taken to hospital for observation and an assessment. He’s complaining of pain in his legs.”

The David Hayes-trained filly Livia charged home from the back of the field to take out the event.

Handicapping

In reality horse racing does not care how we handicap it and it can be based on our own research using factors of or own creation.

Regardless of methods, eventually everyone ends up with an educated guess.

Plain Statement

Mangocharlie - 001/09

Some days we find no plays, but we never depart from our methods and systems. Our theory is that racing will be going on as long as we live, and if no play bobs up today there will be one tomorrow.
